Aubrey Raymond-Schmitt, RVT
Aubrey Raymond-Schmitt graduated from the Kirkwood Community College Veterinary Technician Program in 2016, as a registered veterinary technician (RVT). She began working at the Monticello Veterinary Clinic in June of 2016.
She grew up on her family dairy farm. Today she and her husband have three family dogs.
Aubrey enjoys all aspects of a mixed practice. She really enjoys monitoring anesthesia and performing dental cleanings.
Karen Heinlein, RVT
Karen Heinlein, a RVT, started here in January of 2022. Karen was born in upstate New York, and has lived in various states. Some include Illinois, Iowa, Wyoming, Indiana, and now back to Iowa! She became a RVT while attending St. Petersburg College in Florida.
Karen has been married to her husband, Joseph, for 37 years. Together they have 4 grown children and have three wonderful grandchildren. The rest of their family includes some animals. Three horses and several cats. Other pets include three dogs, Cyclone, Minchah & Jiffy and several outdoor cats.
Her favorite aspect of working at MVC she says, “I love the variation of duties with small and farm animals. Especially enjoy assisting with equine farm calls.”
Natalyn Wickman
We have been lucky to have Natalynn Wickman with us since May 2019. She grew up in Lone Tree, IA and then attended Kirkwood Community College to become a Veterinary Assistant.
Natalynn and her husband, Connor, have two dogs they care for. Paisley Jo is a Terrier Mix and Buster Bane is a beagle.
Getting to work with all animal types and not knowing what to expect from day to day are her favorite aspects of working at our clinic.
