Diane Leibold
Diane Leibold joined the Monticello Veterinary Clinic in July, 1988; starting out part time and eventually going full time. Diane grew up on the Leonard Dairy Farm west of Monticello.
Diane enjoys time with her family; Daughter (Heidi), son (Josh), dog (Dumas) and a golden retriever, Chance.
The challenges and rewards of a mixed practice turned into 30+ years of her love for the job.
Libertie Uppena
Libertie Uppena is a local Jones County girl who grew up in Wyoming, Iowa. She began as a Customer Support Specialist in our office in January. Previously she has interned here as an animal care specialist. She has a B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 2020. She also interned at Anamosa Veterinary Clinic and Hagyard Equine in Kentucky.
Libertie has three younger sisters; Delanie, Bailie and Kinzlie. She has several pets Patches, her mini-Aussie dog; Yurtle, a Red Eared Slider Turtle; two horses, Coy and Bugs.
Her favorite aspect of working at the clinic are her Co-Workers, pets, and the clients.
Pat Adams
Pat Adams assists the Monticello Veterinary Clinic as a Customer Support Assistant. Her first years of experience began with Dr Chittick and Dr. Gilchrist. We are very fortunate she returned to assist us now with customers part-time.
Pat along with her husband, Doug, live in rural Monticello. They have two grown children and are proud to have eight grandchildren. They have farmed outside of Monticello for several years. Raising crops, livestock and currently two farm cats, who assist in mouse population control.
The aspect of the clinic she favors the most is greeting and assisting clients with their pets. She enjoys keeping in contact with local farmers and assisting everyone by phone or in person. Pat concluded with, “It is great to be a part of a caring team of vets & office staff!”
Karen Hogan
Karen Hogan is our Practice Manager, starting with the clinic in November of 2021. She grew up on a family farm in DeWitt, Iowa then later she graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education in 1998.
After college, she moved to rural Monticello where she and her husband, Dominic, reside with his family farm. The couple have three children Caleb, Adele and Claire. They also have three family pets Twister, a mixed breed dog, Ruby and Ace, a Miniature/toy Aussie’s.
Being new to the clinic, her favorite aspect of the clinic is meeting and learning about their clients. She also learns so much about veterinary terms and many new facets of the veterinary world. She enjoys the new adventures each day brings.
Julia Breitbach
Julia Breitbach started with our clinic the summer of 2022. Julia comes to us with lots of experience as a customer support specialist. Julia grew up in Onslow, IA and attended Monticello High School. After graduation, she continued to PCI Academy.
She and her husband Clint now both reside in Monticello. The couple has two dogs. Daisy is an 8 year old Husky and Tucker is a 3 year old Great Dane/mix.
As a recent hire, Julia has not been exposed to all aspects of the clinic yet. But so far everyone is super nice and she sees lots of cute puppies.
Jordan Griffith
Jordan Griffith is our customer support here at Monticello Vet Clinic. She is currently studying at Kirkwood Community College. She joins us after having 5 years’ experience working at a dog daycare and boarding facility.
Jordan along with her husband, Justen, and two sons Oliver and Rowan now live in Monticello. She also keeps very busy with a cat and 4 dogs. Isla is her cat. The dogs consist of a Blue Heeler, Goldendoodle, Shiba Inu and a Pomeranian.
Although she has just joined the clinic, she is really enjoying seeing the animals and the overall environment of the clinic.
