Dr. Cole Burrack
Dr. Burrack graduated with his DVM from Iowa State University in May of 2013. Originally from a farm near Arlington, Iowa, Dr. Burrack’s past experience drives his interest and knowledge in cattle medicine. In addition, he brings a passion for reproductive medicine to the Monticello Vet Clinic and would enjoy visiting with you regarding reproductive needs for your cattle, horses, or household pets.
Dr. Burrack and his wife Kara have two wonderful boys. They are often found outside tending to their garden, taking care of their sheep, or collecting eggs from the chickens. If there is a livestock show in Eastern Iowa, you can bet you will see the Burrack Family at it!
Dr. Jayme Freye
Dr. Jayme joined the clinic right after graduation from Vet School in June, 2014. She came out of school with a love of bovine obstetrics and really enjoys the challenges and rewards that calving season brings. Jayme developed another passion in small animal surgery. She enjoys spending her mornings in the surgery rooms and her afternoons on the farm.
Jayme brought with her to Monticello a husband, Tyler, and dog, Madison. They have welcomed two daughters to the family since moving from Ames. Jayme bought into the practice in 2016 and has enjoyed learning the ins and outs of business ownership. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family and a summer favorite is still the Great Jones County Fair.
Dr. Mark Duffy
Dr. Duffy joined the practice in 2017 after graduating from Iowa State. During his years in school, he developed an interest in swine and bovine medicine but particularly enjoys the unpredictable challenges of mixed animal practice. In practice, Dr. Duffy has pursued an interest in small animal orthopedic surgery and continues to expand on the types of procedures offered to clients.
Mark lives in Monticello with his wife, Courtney, and their two dogs, Bonnie and Betty. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and kayaking.
Dr. Jillian Becker
Dr. Becker is one of the newer associates to join the Monticello Vet Clinic after earning her DVM from North Carolina State University in May of 2018. Born, raised, and educated in North Carolina, she moved to Monticello where she can foster her interests in beef production, calf health, and internal medicine across all species. More than anything, Dr. Becker is excited to give back to her local community by caring for patients of all shapes and sizes.
Outside of work, Dr. Becker enjoys trail riding and re-training her ex-racehorse and baking the pimento cheese biscuits that remind her of home! She always looks forward to county fair season and enjoys all of the spring and summer activities that come with living in beautiful eastern Iowa.

Dr. CJ Fitzgerald
Dr. CJ Fitzgerald joined the Monticello Vet Clinic after earning her DVM from Iowa State University in May of 2020. While in vet school, she also completed her Master’s of Public Health in the combined DVM/MPH program with Iowa State University and the University of Iowa. She really enjoys the variety of mixed animal practice and is especially interested in parasitology, zoonotic disease, cattle medicine, swine medicine, and public health.
CJ and her husband Jake are originally from Springville, IA and are excited to move back to their hometown area. In her free time, she really enjoys playing volleyball, kayaking, gardening, spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors. Dr. Fitzgerald is passionate about helping people and is eager to be a part of such a great community.
Diane joined the Monticello Veterinary Clinic in July, 1988; starting out part time when her two kids were little and eventually going full time. Diane grew up on the Leonard Dairy Farm west of Monticello. Animals, chores, 4-H, and working outside were the structure of growing up. Dr. Chittick would come out to the farm for Herd Health and farm calls. Little did Diane know, she would grow up and Dr. Chittick would be her boss. The challenges and rewards of a mixed practice turned into 30+ years of her love for the job.
When not working, Diane enjoys her friends, family, daughter (Heidi), son (Josh), dog (Dumas) and her new addition; a golden retriever pup arriving in March 2020.

Julie Hines, RVT
Julie Hines joined the Monticello Veterinary Clinic in July 2014 following her graduation from the Northeast Iowa Community College Veterinary Technician program. She interned at the clinic in June 2014 and was hired thereafter. Julie enjoys the challenging veterinary atmosphere as well as meeting new clients and patients. She encourages clients to bring their pets in for regular check-ups and to ask questions for educational purposes.
Outside of the clinic, Julie can be found with her husband and their son in the wilderness fishing or hunting, going on car cruises, and spending time with family.
Aubrey Raymond-Schmitt, RVT
Aubrey joined the Monticello Veterinary Clinic in June of 2016 following graduation from Kirkwood Community College Veterinary Technician Program. She is a registered veterinary technician and enjoys all aspects of mixed practice. Aubrey really enjoys monitoring anesthesia and performing dental cleanings.
Outside of the clinic Aubrey enjoys spending time with her husband, three dogs, helping on her parents dairy farm, and traveling.
Natie started in May of 2019 as a kennel assistant while she was attending Kirkwood community college in the Veterinary Assistant program. She was then offered a full-time job as a Veterinary Assistant after graduating. Natie grew up in Lone Tree, a small town in south east Iowa. Animals have always been a part of her life. She is most familiar with the small animal side but continues to learn and help with the large animals as well.
Outside of the clinic you can find Natie outside, boating, traveling or cuddling on the couch with her two dogs Buster and Paisley. She loves spending time with her friends, family and spoiling her nephew.
Allison graduated from Iowa State University in 2013 with a degree in Ag Studies and a minor in Agronomy. She grew up on a family farm in Monticello and is still involved with the farming practice. She joined the clinic in December 2019 as a receptionist and is excited to be a part of the team!
Outside of work she enjoys playing volleyball, being outside, and spending time with family.
